Heaven or Hell – Halloween Special

The Queen Vic in South Shields was a gig I knew was going to be a pleasure to shoot and the evening didn’t dissapoint.  The pub was packed with witches, demons and all manner of people in fancy dress out to celebrate Halloween and with the band dressed up too the atmosphere was perfect.

Rock Bottom – The Queen Vic

A band I had been looking forward to seeing were in the area the day before my holidays but despite an early start next morning I decided I had to see them. So pleased I did, this band not only can play but they are true posers in front of the camera and I loved them !  They are back in December, go see them if you like UFO, Schenker or just live music.

Stormin’ the Castle 2016

Stormin’ is the highlight of the local music calendar and the highlight of mine too !

Live music in a fantastic atmosphere, always loads of friends around, camping, Jack Daniels and beer, who could ask for more.  This year it rained on the Saturday, so what, nobody cared, we still partied hard and loved every minute. Enjoy the photos !

Oh if any band wants copies of their own pics, just ask and i’ll send them to you.

Corbridge Festival 2016

This is the 2nd year i’ve been to Corbridge Festival to shoot the bands and once again it was a fantastic weekend.  The weather just about held out and the occasional light shower didn’t dampen spirits at all.  Lots of great bands means lots of photos to look at. You may even be in a crowd shot. Take a look.

Paris Dancer

I was invited to Blackfriars in Newcastle to shoot the CD launch for Paris Dancer. The frontman Norman McGlenn is the singer with local band This Machine and is therefore very well known on the scene.  The band were supported by Siege UK.  A very entertaining night was had with the band playing for a full hour, all originals, all great songs.  Go see them soon and buy their CD, it’s very good !

Ronington 5

On Saturday I made my yearly pilgrimage to ‘Ronington’, a day of music for charity that started 5 years ago as a one-off event and then continued as a highly anticipated gig in the north east music calendar. 10 bands over 8 hours.

Over £3750 was raised for the Bobby Robson Charity – nice one !

Rubber Bullets – 10cc

Rubber Bullets are a band I’ve been trying to go and see for a few months but never made it. I’d heard some good reviews so off the The Queen Vic in South Shields I went.

All i’m going to say is if you like 10cc then you will love this band, if you like good music you will love this band and if you appreciate musicianship at it’s best then you will love this band.  Go and see them, sing along (as I did all night) and support live music.
