Willowman 2015

A festival I hadn’t heard of at all but was invited to go along and take photographs on the Saturday. With a few band friends playing I couldn’t say no.  Arrived in the pouring rain but as soon as the music started the sun came out and the fun began. Make no mistakes, this is a small but perfectly formed festival, very well organised and laid out and a crowd who know how to party. Looking forward to Willowman 2016.

Corbridge Festival 2015

Another catch up addition to my website but a worthy addition I think. A full day of musical entertainment across two stages. A very well organised festival with some brilliant acts. The highlights for me where The Undertones, a band I had obviously heard of but knew little about, simply commanded the stage and played a blinder.  Lots of photos in this album but when you’re a photographer at a festival you want to capture everything.

Groovetrain at the Sage Gateshead

It’s a year ago today that this event took place, a day to remember. This was a charity event that managed to raise £6000 for a children’s charity so a worthwhile event for sure.

A new model in town

I was recently asked if I would do a photoshoot with a new model, the answer was of course yes and a date was set. Melissa Rourke is from Ashington and is keen to get into modelling. Here are the results of her first shoot, i’m sure she will do very well.

Bon Jovi Forever and Bryan Adams Exposed – Lancastrian Suite

When you put together some of the most talented musicians in the North East into two bands to pay homage to two of the world’s biggest acts then you are guaranteed a night a remember.  The Lancastrian Suite was the venue, stage was expertly set out with god knows how many lights, add a top sound system and some pyros and let the show commence. Look out for these bands, book your tickets and go and support live music. You won’t be disappointed.

Bikers, Bikes and Backstage – Stormin’ the Castle

Stormin the Castle wouldn’t exist without the wonderful bikers that have been coming for the last 25 years. Here are the photos of some of the bikes arriving, the winners presentation and just some general photos taken over the weekend. Great memories of a great weekend.

Wilko Johnson at Stormin the Castle

Headlining the main stage on Saturday night was Wilko Johnson with Norman Watt-Roy on bass and Dylan Howe on drums. These guys have a star studded music background having played in many household name bands as well as Wilko appearing as an actor in Game of Thrones.

The Boneshakers at Stormin’ the Castle

Classic blues came to the Iris Stage with the Boneshakers. A crowd favourite and deserved headliners.

The Kill at Stormin’ the Castle

Another “big stage” band that deserved a spot on this year’s Stormin’ stage and as with all the other bands this year they didn’t disappoint. A mega performance that had the crowd singing along to every song.

A.K.Q Stottin at Stormin’ the Castle

If there was a gig that I wish someone had videoed then this would have been it, surely their finest moment. Fireworks, CO2 guns firing underpants, scones and wigs that got blown clean off just to mention a few highlights. A historical gig.
